About the Association

South West Multiple Birth Association (SWMBA) is a voluntary run, not-for-profit community association that provides members with support from other member families around the issues relating to raising multiple birth children. Our goals are to:

• provide a network of friends who have multiple birth children.
• provide a means of communication for sharing information about the care and raising of multiple birth children.
• increase public awareness of the needs of families with multiples and improve the resources available to them

SWMBA is proudly affiliated with the Australian Multiple Birth Association (AMBA) and AMBA WA Inc.

SWMBA was first formed in 2001 by a group of volunteer parents of multiples. Originally named "The South West Twins Plus Club", the name changed to encourage joining of all families of multiples, whether they be twins, triplets, quadruplets, quintuplets or more!
